William Meldrim Mehrtens, Jr passed away on February 7, 2024 at his residence.

William was born in Savannah, GA  on February 6, 1938 to the late William and Dareste Sharpe Mehrtens.

He is survived by his daughter, Sharolyn Hoagland (Johnny) of St. Marys, GA. Special cousins, Sandra Simmons, Marilyn Broome, and Jean Johnson and host of friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Mehrtens. Siblings, Bugsy Mehrtens, Bobby Mehrtens, W.J. Mehrtens, and Skeet Alderman.

Family would like to express their gratitude to the Visiting Angels for their help. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Coastal Hospice.

Graveside services will be held in Jones Cemetery in Callahan, FL on Monday February 12, 2024 at 12:30 pm.
