Wayne "Toot" Donald Eakes, 63, of Kingsland, GA passed away in Jacksonville, FL at St. Vincent's Riverside Center on October 24, 2022.

Wayne was born in Folkston, GA on May 20, 1959 to the late Lynward and Doris Eakes. He has lived in St. Marys, GA all of his life and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working. He was a diesel mechanic and loved turning wrenches.

He is survived by his son, Chris Eakes (Caitlin) of Woodbine, GA, Siblings, Diane Thrash of Kingsland, GA, Patricia Sikes (Ernest) of Folkston, GA, Mike Eakes of Woodbine, GA, and Sheila Lewis of Kingsland, GA. Two grandchildren, Kyla Eakes and Clayton Eakes.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother in law, Ray Lewis.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
