Victor "Pops" Lynn Hester, 65, of Woodbine, GA passed away on February 22, 2025, surrounded by his family at Southeast GA Health System - Camden.

Born in Dublin, GA on October 8, 1959 to the late Rembert Glenn Hester and Lois Grace (Sue) Darley. Victor, known as "Pops" to everyone was vivacious, full of life and had an exceptional character. He was a brick mason all of his life beginning to learn to lay brick when he was 15 years old, loved fishing, hunting, dirt track racing, stirring the pot and aggravating everyone. He worked for JC Taylor Construction before starting his own business, VH Masonry in the early 80's. His favorite quote to his children was "whatever them babies want". He cherished his time under the pecan tree at Uncle John's and above all he loved his family and was the best dad.

Victor "Pops" is survived by his wife of 38 years Kathy Hester; his children Terry Pierce (Lynn) of Woodbine, Alex "Tot" Pittman (Jessica) of St. Marys, Rachel Harper (Josh) of Waverly; his grandchildren; his great grandchildren; his brother Chuck Hester (Sherry) of Kingsland; his sister Susan Hughes (Kelly) of Jacksonville, FL; his brother in law (more like a brother) Dale Mimbs (Carla) of Kingsland; his nephews Travis Hester (Ashley), JR Mimbs (Parrish), Lance Peeples (Kari), Brian Peeples (Kim) and also numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Active pallbearers include Terry Pierce, Tot Pittman, Josh Harper, JR Mimbs, Lance Peeples, and Brian Peeples. Honorary pallbearers include Aaden & Levi Pittman.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Allison Memorial Chapel from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

Funeral will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Allison Memorial Chapel at 11:00 am and burial will follow in Carleton Cemetery on Griffin-Bluff Road in Kingsland, GA.

Allison Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
