Tonya Machealle Ray passed away at age 61 in her home on Sunday, July 24th, 2022 after a hard battle with cancer.

Tonya was born on October 9th, 1960 in Columbia SC to the late Charles Edward Smith and Mary Edna Puckett. She married her husband Perry Ray on September, 23rd 1992 in Walterboro, SC. Tonya worked for the United States Postal Service for over 20 years where she developed individual bonds with her co-workers and the residents on her delivery route. She loved going to the beach, travelling and spoiling her grandchildren. Her absolute favorite thing was spending time with her family.

Tonya will be deeply missed by her husband of 30 years Perry Ray; her daughter Casey (Jessica) Wessinger, her daughter-in-law Carlyn Wessinger, her grandchildren; Brayden, Kennedy, Taelon, Avery, and Lilly.

Tonya was preceded in death by her mother and father, her two sons; Clinton and Ricky Wessinger, and her siblings; Chuck, Susan and Duane.

A Celebration of Life visitation will held Friday, July 29th 2022 at Allison Memorial Chapel between 5:00PM - 7:00PM
