Susan L. Spalding of Jacksonville, Florida passed away peacefully on August 4, 2023 in St. Marys, Georgia.

She was born on September 15, 1965 and grew up in Sterling Heights, Michigan, where she attended Henry Ford II High School. After graduation in 1983, she moved to Jacksonville, Florida where she completed her bachelor's degree in finance and worked in that field for 30+ years.

Sue will be greatly missed by her daughter, Lily "Elle" Veal; two sisters, Brenda "Jimi" Ingalls, and Sharon Stanfill; three brothers, David, Jeff, and Philip Spalding; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Sue was predeceased by her father and mother, David and Barbara Spalding, and her sister Janet Coulther (in July 2023).

Sue had an outgoing personality and an infectious smile. She had a close connection with her groups of friends, who she affectionately called the Soul Sisters. Sue's love of animals and her pets were always an important part of her life, and she raised many rescue dogs over the years.
