Susan
Bulawa
Sep 24, 1947 — Jan 29, 2025
Kingsland
Susan Bulawa (Masonis),77, of Kingsland, GA passed away on January 29, 2025.
Susan was born on September 24, 1947, in New Britain, Connecticut to Peter and Mildred Masonis.
Susan graduated from Paier College Art School in Connecticut with a degree in Interior Design. Susan excelled in her career as an Interior Designer working on numerous corporate projects and with private clients as well. Susan was also a successful real estate agent in Connecticut. Susan had a big heart and made so many people feel seen and appreciated. She was fun loving, intelligent, curious, and had a great joy in living. Susan had an ebullient laugh, a beautiful speaking voice, and sparkling blue eyes with a wink of mischief. She had a fearless spirit, a go-getter
attitude, and loved to travel visiting Europe, the Caribbean, and other exotic places. Susan deeply loved her husband Danny and beloved son DJ. Susan was a loving, wonderful, fun, and supportive Aunt as well. She loved meeting new people and especially loved to entertain, creating magical holiday gatherings for her family and friends. When Susan would throw a Christmas party in Connecticut, at her old house built by a minister in the 1700's, it was pure delight. She had a giant antique sled she found at a barn sale and filled it with huge, wrapped presents in gold and silver waterproof paper and large red bows--as if Santa left his sled in the front yard to come inside for the party too. Every single window in that old, white, wooden minister's house was hung with wreaths and lit with candles beckoning friends inside with all the fireplaces crackling. There was a secret staircase in a closet that all the cousins used for games of hide and seek. If you entered the foyer you were greeted with a sea of red poinsettias, and a giant American flag hung on the wall beside the old staircase welcoming friends. Susan will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband Daniel Bulawa and her brother Peter Masonis and his wife Carol Masonis and by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Susan was preceded in death by her son Daniel Jason Bulawa.
