Sandra Elvira
Clark
Jan 8, 1947 — Mar 7, 2026
Mrs. Sandra Elvira Clark, age 79, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of Saturday, March 7, 2026, at her home in Waverly, Georgia.
She was born on January 8, 1947, in Blackshear, Georgia to the late Clarence Wildes and Elvira Wildes. Sandra, affectionately known as "Sandy," was the third daughter among six siblings and grew up surrounded by family and love.
Sandy was one of the most outgoing, kind, and loving people you could ever meet. She was an amazing woman who deeply loved her family. Her strength, independence, devotion to those she loved, and her strong Christian faith were beautiful threads woven throughout the tapestry of her life.
She cherished time spent with her family, especially the many trips and adventures they shared together. Sandy also enjoyed baking, sewing, reading, and going on shopping adventures all over town. Many days you could find her in the kitchen baking her famous sour cream pound cakes or sitting at the table with her sewing machine creating the next beautiful dress.
Sandy faithfully served her community as an employee of the Glynn County Department of Family and Children Services for 30 years. Even in her later years, she continued to stay active and connected with others, often giving out samples at Walmart or serving local schools across the county as a substitute teacher.
Sandy will be remembered for her warm heart, joyful spirit, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Her legacy of kindness, faith, and generosity will live on in the lives of all who knew and loved her.
Mrs. Clark is survived by her children Charles (Juanita) Clark Jr. and Joshua (Alana) Clark both of Woodbine, Ga. Her grandchildren, Sara (NiKo) Kolgaklis, Lindsey (David) Dunn, Emily (Nick) Benroth, Hannah (Gus) Lawrence, CJ (Addy) Clark, Lesley (Payton) Trescot, and Sadie Clark. Her great-grandchildren, Eli Taylor, Raelynn Dunn, Easton Kolgaklis, Grey Benroth, Beckett Dunn, and Samuel Kolgaklis; and her numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, brother and sister, she joins her husband, Charles Lindsey Clark Sr., and son, Clayton Wilson Clark in heaven.
Visitation will be held from 3:30-5:00 pm and her Celebration of Life for Ms. Sandy will be held at the First Baptist Church of Woodbine on Thursday March 12, 2026 at 5:00 pm.
Allison Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
