Obituary

Rosa Ann Wright, 80, of St. Marys, GA  went to be with the Lord on July 28, 2025.

Rosa was born in Colesburg, GA on July 9, 1945 to the late Daniel Parrott and Beary Woods Parrott.

She passed away suddenly on Monday after an extended period of medical issues that she met with strength. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She married her high school sweetheart, Clinton Allen Wright, Jr, (Buddy) in 1965 after completing two years at Georgia Southern University. Rosa Ann worked as a bookkeeper with her husband at the family hardware store, Wright & Evans, for many years. She was dedicated to her family beyond belief as she drove her son and daughter to school in Jacksonville for years while also working in the office of the hardware store. She was the best mother and grandmother a person could have, and was the most beautiful person inside and out. She was a great friend to many. She endured many health issues after the passing of her husband, Buddy, in 2000. In 2013 she had a heart attack and was with the Lord for eight minutes . The Lord sent her back to her family who has been blessed with twelve additional years with her. She was truly the most loving Mom and friend that a person could have who can never be replaced.

She is survived by her daughter, Julie Wright of St. Marys, GA and Clinton Wright, III of Jacksonville, FL. Brothers, Donald Parrott and Marvin Parrott. Grandchildren, Sybil Wright, Amanda Wright, and Lyla Wright. Nieces and Nephews, Melba Parrott, Ann Nemec, Mandy Blair, Nancy Griffin-Hawkins, Donna Lewis, Dori Lynn, Sandra Reese, Debbie Combs, Jill Manley, Danny Brazell, Daniel Parrott, and Don Parrott. Special friends, Helen Quinn, Terry Hodge, Jan Dietz, and Patsy Lewis.

A special thank you to her caregivers for helping, Mandy Blair, Jane Clark, Crystal Peeples, and Sheryl Slattery.

Services will be held on Friday August 1, 2025 with visitation at 10:00 am and service to follow at 11:00 am at St. Marys Methodist Church. A private burial will be at Homeward Cemetery.
