Roger Lee Nicholson, 65, of Kingsland, GA passed away at his residence on August 8, 2022.

Roger was born on May 19, 1957 in Parkersburg, WV to the late Carl & Juanita Nicholson. He moved from West Virginia in 2005 and made Kingsland, GA his home. He loved his children and they were his pride and joy. He enjoyed going fishing, kayaking, going to the beach, and looking for sharks teeth. His passion was being a truck driver, he was accident free for 46 years and he was very proud of that. He was a Five time State of Georgia truck driving champion and in June of 2022 Roger was inducted into the Florida Trucking Association Hall of Fame.

Roger is survived by his girlfriend, Sarah Harkins, of Kingsland, GA, a son, Roger Lee Nicholson, Jr of Colville, WA, a daughter Heather Dawn Nicholson, of Vienna, WV, a brother, Bobby Lee Nicholson of Midway, GA and two grandchildren, Lilian Joy Nicholson and Daisy Grace Nicholson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday August 11, 2022 from 6-8 pm at Allison Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Friday August 12, 2022 at 10:00 am at Allison Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Lawnwood Cemetery in Kingsland, GA.
