Robert Lawton Marr, Sr of St. Marys passed away at his home in St. Marys on Friday, January 30, 2026.

Robert was born April 30th, 1942 in Ashburn, GA to Bernie Prince Marr and Ophelia Marr Foskey. He was in the Navy for 4 years. Retired as Superintendent of #1 & #2 paper machines from Gilman Paper/Durango.

Survived by his wife of 64 years, Shirley Crews Marr.  His son, Bobby (Cindy) Marr, granddaughter Kaitlyn (Carter) Fournet, a great-grandson Grady Fournet. Two brothers, John & Buddy Foskey, brother in law Roy (Bonnie) Crews, sister in law Sandy (Tony) Chambliss, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Scherie Marr.

No services will be held per his request.
