Obituary

Robert Brian Dawe, 82, of Saint Marys, GA, passed away suddenly on June 21, 2025.

Bob was born on February 20th, 1943, in Pen Argyl, PA, to Irma Strout Dawe and Nelson Griffith Dawe. He grew up in Bangor, PA, and graduated from Bangor High School in 1961. Bob went on to Penn State University, had a semi-professional baseball career, served as a Pharmacy Specialist in the US Army at Walter Reed Medical Center during the Vietnam War, and graduated from Moravian University with a B.S. in Biology, followed by a career as a manufacturer's representative of biomedical instrumentation. Bob was a virtuous, good man, a supportive and caring husband and father. He enjoyed his retired life in St Marys, his yard, and the community he lived in. He appreciated a wide range of sports, being a competitive athlete, and his love for PSU Athletics was quite apparent if you were ever in the same room. He loved being on the water aboard Nita-Nee. He cherished spending time with his wife, his sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren. Bob will be deeply missed.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Barbara Dawe; children, Tyler Dawe (Megan) and Eric Dawe (Amanda); grandchildren, Amelia, William, and Ellis; and siblings, Donna Koehler (Sheldon) and Thomas Dawe (Sheila).

Robert Brian Dawe was cremated and will rest at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
