Robert Joseph Burgess, 81, of Saint Marys, GA passed away at Southeast GA Health System-Camden Campus on May 3, 2023.

Bob was born on March 26, 1942 in Waltham, MA.

Bob was a loyal dedicated employee of 30 plus years of the Coca Cola Bottling Company. He always took pride in his stories from his delivery days and quick to show off his special ring given to him at retirement. You could always rely on Bob for a good laugh from his predictable dad jokes or some kid of magic trick he was trying to teach you. Bob loved spending time family and friends, enjoyed playing golf, and was always lucky when at the casino. You would always find him looking for a game and watching his favorite sports like hockey, baseball and football. Bob always cheered for his home teams, Boston Red Socks, Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Eagles and recently discovered Jacksonville Jaguars. Always loved by whomever he met, Bob will forever be missed.

Survivors are his Nieces, Colleen Boone (Robert) of St. Marys, GA, and Courtney Roka (Michael) of Kingsland, GA. A great niece, Lorelai Boone.

A Brother in law, Jack McBreen, III of St. Marys, GA.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Marcella Mary McBreen.

A Celebration of Life with military honors will start at 6:00 pm at Allison Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, May, 10, 2023.
