Robert Richard Anderson, age 83, passed away on February 6, 2026 at home after a battle with Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.
Born on October 27, 1942 to parents Robert and Mary Berta Anderson, he spent his childhood in Ashland, Kentucky as well as Moline and Crete, Illinois. He served 5 years in the United States Navy from 1960 – 1964. Bob and Marilyn and their daughters moved to Anchorage, Alaska where he worked as a Warehouse Manager for Blackford Enterprises until his retirement in 2002, after which he and Marilyn and Amy relocated to Aurora, Colorado to be near Julie and Mark and their grandchildren. Bob and Marilyn moved to Boquete, Panama in 2013 where they spent 6 years before settling in Kingsland, Georgia in 2019. Bob had a servant's heart which he dedicated fully to God and his family, volunteering time in children's ministry at their churches in Anchorage, Denver, and Kingsland, and was always ready with a fist-bump, a high-five, or a tickle bug. Bob played the baritone in the church orchestra in Denver and enjoyed fishing, camping, old cars and traveling with Marilyn and the family whenever possible.
Bob is survived by his wife Marilyn, daughters Julie Russell (Mark) and Amy Anderson, sister Mary Linda Hermanson, brother John Anderson (Richard), grandchildren Brittany Russell, Nikki Russell Morgan (Carlton), Bailey Russell, Amber Russell, and Marcus Russell, and great-grandson Christian Corbell.
