Peggy was born on July 11, 1940 in Maplesville, AL to the late Oscar and Alice Payton Hayes. She graduated from Hueytown High School in Alabama and she worked for the Government as an Administrator. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed cooking, baking and watching birds. Peggy loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was excited about her soon to be new great grandbaby being born.

She is survived by her children, Renee Breeden (Mike) of St. Marys, GA and Pam Bolick of Kingsland, GA. Siblings, Jerry Hayes (Linda) of Virginia and Janice Lei of Live Oak, FL. Grandchildren, Melody Phelps (Nathan), Rebecca Henry (Robert), Carlie Parr (Jack), Jonathan Bolick, Chelsea Prince, and Hunter Prince. Great Grandchildren, Braylin, Hannah, Noah, and Jordan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, John Cressman.

The family will be having a Celebration of Life Visitation on Friday, February 17, 2023 from 5-7 at Allison Memorial Chapel.
