Noel Baxter Haynes passed away March 26, 2025. He and his wife Wanda chose St. Marys as their retirement home 25 years ago and have been an integral part of the community ever since. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, and a host of neighbors and friends, both far and near, young and old. The family request any remembrances be made in the form of a contribution to Hospice of the Golden Isles.

Noel grew up in inner city Atlanta and stayed in touch with a number of friends that shared his neighborhood and growing up experiences. The hours they all spent on the phone reliving memories from that time in their lives provided him great pleasure in his final years. The family would like to express appreciation to friends young and old for the sunshine you brought into his life.

A celebration of Noel's life will be scheduled at a later date.
