Melba O. Cruz, 64 of Kingsland, GA passed away at U.F. Health Shands in Jacksonville, FL on October, 13, 2021 and is now reunited with her parents.

Melba was born on April 9, 1957 in McAllen, TX. She grew up in New Castle, IN and then she lived most of her life in Charleston, SC and then moving to Kingsland, GA in 1990. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She had a heart of gold and was always taking care of her family and friends. She enjoyed shopping, going to the beach, and spending time in Indiana with her family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.

She is survived by her husband, Roberto Cruz, Jr of Kingsland, Children, Arturo Cruz, Sabrina Cruz and Chelsea Cosner of Kingsland, GA. Her siblings, Arturo Garces of San Antonio, TX, Margaret Pena of Indianapolis, IN, Antonio Garces, Jr. of Albany, GA, Mandy Adams of Knightstown, IN, Marta Benjamin of Chesapeake, VA, Minerva Garces of New Castle, IN, Jose Garces of Shelbyville, IN, Juan Garces of Gloucester, Va and Maria Kaelber of New Castle, IN. Grandchildren, Alex, Antonio, Ryder, Abby, Christina, Amaya and Jayla. Three great grandchildren, Cole, Clayton & Leo.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Anita Garces and son in-law Blaine Cosner.

A visitation and celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm on October 17, 2021 at Allison Memorial Chapel.
