Mary Louise Moyes Volkman passed away at Baptist Health in Fernandina Beach, FL on September 26, 2026.

She was born on February 17, 1935 in St. Francisville, Illinois to Virgil Moyes and Opal Turnmire Moyes.

A daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother (Granny )- a women who loved well and was well-loved: Mary Volkman passed peacefully on September 26th at the age of 91.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Opal and Howard Moyes, who are both buried in St Francisville Illinois, her 2 siblings, Paul Greogory and Joey, her husband, Richard Volkman and Grandson, Richard Dondero. 

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Deborah Dondero of Kingsland Georgia. Her forever grateful granddaughter Nicole Dondero-Walton and great-granddaughter Christine Walton of St. Mary’s Georgia.

You will be greatly missed and never forgotten as the best Granny ever and our little Polly Pocket. We love you forever and always!
