Marianne C.
Waller
Jul 25, 1934 — May 4, 2025
Woodbine
Marianne C. Waller, 90, of Woodbine, Ga passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at the Morris Center for Caring in Jacksonville, FL.
Marianne's husband "Hank" served in the Navy and was stationed at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. She loved living on base, and they traveled to the reunions in different cities through the years, even going back to the base much later in life with a reunion group. She and "Hank" moved up to Colesburg in 2007 to be near their son and daughter in law. Steve and Debbie had the honor to serve and care for them since then. After her husband passed away in 2018, she found comfort in her family and her church family at Forest View where she loved attending and supporting for the past 5 years and made her profession of faith in her Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized on her birthday July 25, 2021, at the age of 87. The best birthday present ever! She will be greatly missed by her loving family and all those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Norman & Martha Hawks Crannis; her husband Charles W. Waller; two brothers Norman Jr. & Bev Crannis; a sister Carolyn Mullins (Larry); and a daughter Cheryl Ross.
Marianne is survived by her sons John Waller (Penny), Steve Waller (Debbie) and her daughter Robyn Sloan (John); grandchildren Shawn Waller (Lauren), Dustin Waller, Staci Dorsey (Dan), Jamie Beal, Dillon Ross (Jennifer), Christy Dixon, David Dixon (Savannah), Jennifer Harris (Wade), Matthew Sloan (Joni); great grandchildren Jubilee & Nehemiah Waller, Estella, Kate & Maeve Dorsey, Haley & Adrian Beal, Olivia & Aubrey Dixon, Madalyn & Alaina Dixon, Kenneth Sloan, Hailey Ray (Ian), Jessica & Miller Sloan, Natalie, Ethan & Madillon Ross; a great great grandchild Ashley Beal; her brother Al Crannis (Diane); and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
We will celebrate Marianne's long, blessed life and our love and respect for her on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 3:00 pm at Forest View Baptist Church in Woodbine, GA. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm at the church. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Jacksonville National Cemetery in a private burial.
The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to the amazing Woodbine EMT services and the staff at Community Hospice for their love and care.
Allison Memorial Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
