Margarito "Chico" Hernandez, age 75, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025.

He was born on August 26, 1950, the son of Encarnacion Hernandez and Elena Aviles.

Chico was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather whose love for his family was evident in everything he did. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Hernandez; his sons, Michael Hernandez, Scott Eitel, and Kevin Eitel; and his daughter, Kimberely Etzold. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Alessia, Emiliana, Olivia, Elina, Sierra, Michael, Aaron Hernandez, Kayla and Bobby Etzold, Logan and Abby Eitel, and Brenna and Kiera Eitel, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.

A proud Vietnam Army Veteran, Chico served his country with honor and distinction as an Airborne Ranger and Drill Sergeant at Westpoint and exemplified discipline, courage, and leadership throughout his military career. He was awarded the Bronze Star and the Army Commendation Medal for his service.

On December 25, 2025, Chico confessed and accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. He is now home, free from pain, resting in eternal peace.

Chico will be remembered for his strength, his service, and most of all, his unwavering love for his family. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.  He will never be forgotten.
