Marc Daniel Openlander, 45, of St. Marys, GA passed away at his residence on January 22, 2024.

Marc was born on September 5, 1978 in St. Louis, MO to Mark Clifton Openlander and Kathleen Cowell Openlander. He served in the US Navy and retired after 21 years. He loved to spread the word of God to anyone that he could talk to about it. Enjoyed teaching bible study, spending time with family, hunting, fishing, football, and going camping. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Jacksonville, FL.

He is survived by his wife, Sirena Openlander of St. Marys, GA, Father, Mark Openlander of Bourbon, MO, Grandfather, Arthur Williams, Children, Christian Johns of Atlanta, GA, Ti'Amber Nielson-Wilson of St. Marys, GA, Abbigail Openlander (William Wallace) of Austin, TX, and Elijah Openlander of Kingsland, GA. Brother, Eric Openlander (Jennifer) of Sullivan, MO. Aunt, Renee Williams of St. Louis, MO. Grandchildren, Elliana Sheffield and Elliott Sheffield.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Openlander and his grandmother, Joann Williams.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 9:00-9:30 and service will begin at 9:30 am at Allison Memorial Funeral Home. A private burial will be at Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL.
