Luther Hubert "Buddy" Phillips, Jr., 73, of DeFuniak Springs, FL passed away on August 21, 2023 at Okaloosa Medical Center.

Buddy was born on May 28, 1950 in Palatka, FL to the late Luther H. Phillips, Sr and Elizabeth Pheil Phillips. Buddy attended college and was in the United States Marines. He worked for Camden Telephone Company as a Switchman.

Survivors are his wife, Linda Phillips of DeFuniak Springs, FL. Children, John David Phillips of St. Marys, GA and Belinda Farmer (Chris) of DeFuniak Springs, FL. A sister, Sandra Wade (Michael) of Jacksonville, FL. Grandchildren, Scott, Chelsea, Aleck, Leslie, John, Dakota, Holly, Hope, and Kayla. Great Grandchildren, Blaine, Blaire, Carson, Leia, and Oliana.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Phillips.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 2:00 pm at New Hope Baptist Church St. Marys, GA. Visitation will be held on the same day beginning at 1:00 pm.
