Martin "Luke" Luther Spangler, III, 69, of St. Marys, GA passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at his residence.

He was born to the late Martin Luther, Jr. and Cecelia Agnes Lafriner Spangler in Opelika, Alabama on June 18, 1956. Luke was a powerhouse operator for Gilman Paper Company and enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He was an avid Gator fan and was always involved in coaching his son's baseball and football teams over the years.

Luke was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Leeann Spangler.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years Debbie Spangler; a son Jeffrey Martin Spangler (Nichole) all of St. Marys; four grandchildren Sonya Finley (Nathan), Kirra Levine, Eva Spangler and Julian Spangler; two brothers Johnny Spangler (Jan) of Browntown, GA and Matt Spangler of Richmond, VA; and numerous relatives and extended family.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Allison Memorial Chapel and the funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm with Martin Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.

Pallbearers will include Sidney Howell, Pepper Kinsey, Ricky Pittman, Doug Lewis, Mark Hernandez and Richard Bennett.
