Linda Lou Corbett, 73, of St Marys, GA passed away Southeast GA Health System- Brunswick Campus on April, 26, 2023.

Linda was born on August 13, 1949 in Olney, MD to the late Charles and Mary Elizabeth Sheckles. She married Steve on March 26, 1966 in Gaithersburg, MD. Two months after they married, Steve went on active duty in the Navy and she spent the next twenty six years following him around the world making a home in every place they were stationed. Linda, her husband Steve and their two sons moved from Virginia Beach, VA to St. Marys, GA in August 1987. Linda worked at J.C. Penney in Brunswick and then Belk in St. Marys.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Stephen Michael Corbett of St Marys, GA; children, Stephen Michael Corbett, Jr. (Kelly) of Woodstock, GA, and David Jeffrey Corbett (Amy) of Kingsland, GA. Grandchildren, Virginia Ann Corbett, James E. Corbett, William E. Corbett, Hunter Marie Haynes (Jeremy), and Colton Corbett. Great Grandchildren, Theodore B. Haynes and Penelope Haynes. Sister, Brenda S. Butler (Keith) of Gaithersburg, MD.

She was a free spirit and made an impact on many lives. She will be forever missed. Until we meet again, the phrase "Only the good die young" fits her to a T.

A visitation will be held on Monday, May 1, 2023 at 11:00 am at Allison Memorial Chapel. Graveside service will be at Oak Grove Cemetery at 12:30 pm. on the same day.
