Leasel "LD" Dwayne Maynard, 66, of St. Marys, Ga passed away at his residence on September 26, 2021.

LD was born in El Paso, Texas on January 27, 1955 to the late Robert and Iris Maynard. He was in the military and served as a corpsman in the United States Navy. He had been living in St. Marys, Ga since 1992. He enjoyed motorcycles, horses and was an avid animal lover. He loved his family and all of his animals. He had two ferrets and his dogs, trouble, winston, gizmo, biscuit and muffin.

He is survived by his wife, Hope Maynard of Waynesville, NC, a son, John Maynard, of Kingsland, GA, a daughter, Sabrina Douglas (Nathan) of Waynesville, NC. Siblings, Robert Maynard, Wesley Maynard, David Maynard and Margaret Kendel. Three grandchildren, Eric, Jordan and Mitchell.

A service will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 2:00 pm with military honors.
