Josephine (Jo) Leslie Creighton Campbell, age 80, was released from her illnesses on May 4, 2022.

Jo was born in Jacksonville, FL to Joseph and Leslie Creighton. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School
before attending the University of Florida. Upon leaving college she worked in Washington D.C., at the
White House in public television during the Nixon administration. Josephine was most proud of her
lengthy career with the March of Dimes. She retired from the March of Dimes as a vice president in May
of 2005. Upon retirement, Jo and the love of her life relocated from Atlanta, GA, to Fernandina Beach. Jo
and John enjoyed traveling with family and friends until the covid pandemic shut the world down.

Jo was preceded in death by both her parents, her sister, Sara Blanton and her husband of 42 years, John
Campbell.

Jo leaves behind two daughters, Dawn Sowell (Robin) of Fernandina Beach and Tami Campbell of Rome,
GA., grandchildren, Renee Drury (Matthew) of Brunswick, GA, Hollee Lee (Brett) of Blackshear, Ga, Kalin
Sowell (Marcqui) of Waycross, Ga, Nicholas Baggarley of Atlanta, GA and Samuel Musgrove of Rome,
GA., as well as nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on June 6, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, with
internment at the same following the service.
