Joseph Emanuel Peters' Obituary
Joseph E Peters, 96, of St. Marys, Ga passed away at Community Hospice on January 8, 2023.
Joseph was the Son of Allen C. Peters and Imelda Deschanes Peters and was one of eight siblings and was a father to six children. He was a member of the greatest generation. Serving in both World War II and Korean War and served his country for 28 years in the US Air Force, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant. He continued his service with military volunteering at the retirees center for many years.
Survivors are his children, Michael , Richard(Barbra), Allen(Rose), Jeff(Kathy), Steve(Jennifer), and Karen(Michael). He has 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Esther V Farrell Peters and his eldest son.
Burial will be on January 13, 2023 at the Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL with military honors.
