Obituary

Jerry Franklin Aplin, 59 years of age, passed on Friday, May 22, 2026 in St. Marys, Georgia.

Jerry was born on December 15, 1966 in Dumas, Texas. He was the oldest of four children. Jerry served in both the National Guard and the Army prior to transitioning his service to the Navy in 1988, ultimately retiring from the service in 2008. Following his Naval retirement, he worked as a skilled and respected electronics technician officer (ETO) - work that gave him a tremendous brotherhood like no other and took him all over the world. He loved cooking large meals, working with his hands, camping and fishing, and helping anyone who had a need. He was a loving and caring husband, dad, papa, brother, and friend - consistently putting others before himself. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Aplin, and his brother, Thomas Aplin.

He is survived by his wife, Robin Aplin; brother, Kenneth Aplin; sister, Constance Stewart; daughters, Amanda Foskey ( Ross Foskey) and Shayna Gibbens ( Daniel Gibbens); step-sons, Casey and Austin; grandchildren, Taylor, Savannah, Braden, Brody, Ian, Raegan, Clifton, and Ollie; in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
