Jeffrey Paul
Bleke
Jul 24, 1956 — Aug 18, 2026
St Marys
Jeffrey Paul Bleke, 70, of Gainesville, Florida, passed away on August 18, 2026, at his home.
Born on July 24, 1956, in Decatur, Indiana, Jeff was the son of James Henry Bleke and Beverly Wells Bleke. He grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana, and received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University.
A licensed Professional Engineer, Jeff spent his career leading companies that built critical national defense infrastructure both at home and abroad. More than his accomplishments, Jeff will be remembered for his keen sense of humor, his love for his family, and his playful nature. He loved boating with his family, teaching his children sports, watching the LSU Tigers play football, and going on adventures. His friends and family remember him as the life of the party, blasting 70s music and filling the room with laughter, energy, and joy. Through life’s trials, Jeff found comfort in the saving grace of Jesus Christ. His family finds peace in the promise of eternal life and the hope found in Scripture:
“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in Me will never die.” — John 11:25–26
He is survived by his wife, Lori Ann Bleke; his children, Shelbey Elizabeth Mastronardo and her husband, Danny, Jeffrey Chase Bleke and his wife, Hillary, and Skyler Nicole Bleke; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Mae Bleke, Oliver Paul Bleke, and expected in 2026, Grace Magnolia Hayhurst; his brother, James Ellis Bleke; and his sister, Lisa Ann Bleke.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Beverly Bleke.
A memorial service will be held on August 29, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Christ Community Church, 1603 SW 122nd Street, Gainesville, Florida 32607.
Forever remembered for his laughter, his love, and the joy he brought to everyone who knew him.
