James Stephen Talley, 70, of St. Marys, GA passed away on September 4, 2024 at Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL.

Steve was born on March 31,1954 in Jacksonville, FL to the late James Lee Roy Talley and Patricia Louise Blount Talley. He lived all of his life in Camden County and graduated from Camden County High School and then went to the University of Georgia where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in 1977. When he was in High school he was a member of the marching band and started the very first golf team. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed playing poker, and a huge Georgia Bulldog and Camden County Wildcats fan. He was a member of the Camden County Georgia Bulldog Club of Camden and also a member of the First Presbyterian Church of St. Marys.

Survivors are his brother, Paul Talley of St. Simons Island, GA, sister, Deborah Davenport (Cliff) of St. Marys, GA. Nieces and Nephews, Shanda Lauren Feltman, Paul Talley, Jr. (Casey), Shannon Talley DeSanto (Tony), Joseph Talley (Ansley), and Kasie Talley Bennett (Robbie), Great Nieces and Nephews, Archie DeSanto, Lila DeSanto, Steven Talley, Avery Talley, Riley Bennett, Palmer Bennett, Cheyanne Davis, and Weston Davis.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Tanner Saturday.

A Memorial service for Steve will be held on Tuesday September 10, 2024 at 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church in St. Marys, GA with Pastor Rick Douylliez officiating.
