James "Ed" Edward Purvis, 91, of St. Marys, GA passed away on April 2, 2024 at Hospice of the Golden Isles.

Ed was born on March 26, 1933 in Chauncey, GA to the late James Daniel and Mary Daisy Purvis. He was a Veteran in the US Navy and served in the Korean War. For most of his career he worked in the Nuclear industry.

Survivors are his daughter, Jeanette Turner (Brian) of Antioch, CA, Step-Daughter, Linda Wilhelm (Ed) of Kensington, MD, Brother, Carl Purvis (Jan) of Greer, SC, Sister, Louise Chapman of Bainbridge, GA. Grandchildren, Brian Turner, Jr., James M. Purvis, Robert Wilhelm, David Wilhelm, Mark Wilhelm, and Jonathan Wilhelm. Numerous Nieces and Nephews and extended family.

In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Purvis and his son, James Purvis, Jr.
