Frank Raymond
Frasca
Jun 21, 1936 — Feb 14, 2026
Francis Raymond Frasca – "Frank" to his friends, "Dad" and "Poppy" to the people who meant the most to him – passed away on February 14, 2026, at the age of 89 in St. Marys, Georgia.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Frank carried his New York spirit with him wherever life took him. He was a man of deep loyalty, strong opinions, quick wit, and a heart that was always rooted in his family. He lived a full and meaningful life defined by service, hard work, and the quiet ways he showed love every day. Frank proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserves for 28 years, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. Leadership came naturally to him – not because he demanded respect, but because he earned it. In tandem with his military career, he worked for Merck for 35 years. He later continued serving others as Mayor of Port Jefferson, New York, for eight years. He and his wife later retired to St. Marys, Georgia, where he dedicated his time to many local committees continuing to try to shape his community for the better. He believed in doing things the right way, standing by his word, and showing up when people needed him. Outside of his accomplishments, the people closest to him will remember the man behind them. Frank loved golfing, reading, and flying back when he had his pilot's license. He had a great sense of humor, a well-known stubborn streak, and he never passed up a chance to tell a good story – especially if it made someone laugh. He worked hard his entire life and would do anything for the people he loved. More than any title he ever held, his favorite role was being "Poppy". Nothing made him prouder than his grandchildren, Meaghan, Vinny, Caroline, Ally, and Sam. He spoke often of them and took special pride in all of their successes and achievements. His pride in his family was constant and unmistakable.
Frank is survived by his loving wife Caroline Frasca; his children, Lorraine, Frankie (Donna), and Karyn (Adam); and his five grandchildren. He was the steady presence they relied on, the storyteller at the table, and the person they could always count on for guidance, humor, and support.
Frank lived a life full of purpose and accomplishment, but those who loved him will remember the everyday moments most – his stories, his advice, his humor, and the way he showed up for his family again and again. The lessons he taught and the love he gave will continue to live on in each of them. He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever loved.
At a future date, we will be having a celebration to honor Frank's life.
