Fay Ann Barras Brown passed away on April 5, 2024, and entered her Heavenly home, at the age of 88.

Born on November 10,1935. Fay graduated from L.H. Marrero High School in 1955, and was a life-long resident of Marrero, Louisiana. She was able to spend this last year with family in Georgia enjoying time with great-grandchildren. Affectionately known as Grammy, she was a beloved mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend to many. Grammy loved plants, cooking, traveling, lunches with her sisters, time spent with family and friends, and taking care of her beloved grandchildren throughout the years. Fay was a loving Matriarch of her family, worked many years in the Italian and Cajun Catering industry. She loved trips to the casino, cooking for her family, sharing a great cup of coffee and conversation. Also known to have such a green thumb for plants. Fay could always be found on the dance floor at weddings and family will always cherish floral art that she painted. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Mother of David C. Brown (Kelly), the late Michael C. Brown, and Rudy P. Brown, Jr. (Michelle). Grammy of Dustin C. Brown (Sarah), Conor A. Brown (Blake), Alex M. Brown (Brooke), Dylan Goff, Joshua Brown, and Keaghan Brown. Great-Grammy to Maverick, Luca, and Harper Brown, and Brynleigh Brown. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and sisters, Betty Adams (Hubert), Barbara Busch (Joseph) and the late Ruby Hebert (Norris), Ruth "Sue" Bergeron (Peter) and brothers, Robert Barras (Margaret) and the late Charles Barras Jr. (Ramona). Preceded in death by her parents, Charles Barras, Sr., and Agnes Guidry Barras.

A celebration of her life will follow in Summer of 2024 in Louisiana.
