Obituary

Dorothy Hunter Welsh of Mansfield, PA, passed away on January 20th, 2026 in St. Marys, GA.

Dotty served in the Holy Child church, active in church health ministry, and a member of the Ladies Guild. She was a staunch pro-life advocate, doting grandmother. Born in Brackenridge, PA, she graduated from Penn State in 1966, marrying her husband Joseph in 1967. After travelling the world as a Marine Corps wife for 20+ years, Dotty and Joe settled in Mansfield to live the good life...farming. She enjoyed life, held her principles firmly, loved her people deeply, and could re-purpose anything.

Dotty is survived by her husband, Joe; their two sons, Matthew (wife Penny) and Brian (wife Valerie); four grandchildren, Kylie (husband Patrick), Grace (husband David), Benjamin and Rose; great-grandson, Hunter; and a sister. She was preceded in death by her brother George.
