Donald Lee Hamilton, Sr., of St. Marys, passed away November 9, 2024, at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, GA.

Born September 10, 1937, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, he did many things in his life, but his passion was sales and marketing.  He rose up in the ranks of Ralston Purina's Chicken of the Sea division to Southeast Regional Sales manager.  Upon retirement, he moved to Kingsland to be near his son, who was in the U.S. Navy.  He moved to St. Marys 22 years ago, when he married his wife, Elaine.

Don loved his church and was active in many aspects of it, until he became ill.  He was very organized, and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Don is survived by his wife Elaine, a son, Don Hamilton, Jr. (Bridget), a sister, Margaret Altonin (John), and was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Hamilton.

A service to celebrate Don's life, will be held Friday, November 15, 2024, 2:00pm, at Coastal Baptist Church with Pastor Donald Link officiating.
