Danny Russell Riggins, 70, of St. Marys, passed away. December 11, 2022, at Baptist Health in Jacksonville.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at 2:00 pm, at Three Rivers Church with Pastor Martin Turner, Pastor Greg Gardell, and Pastor Ian Dent officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery with Chandler Crumbley, Madison Riggins, Ricky Sparkman, Jeramia Parker, Billy Saturday, and Stacy Riggins serving as active pallbearers.

Danny was born June 4, 1952, in Folkston, GA to Joseph M. and Loretta Anne Johns Riggins.  He was a 1970 graduate of Camden County High School and attended Brunswick Junior College.  Danny was the Co-owner of Coastal Car Care, he was a Board Member of St. Marys Hospital Authority Senior Center, and just won the St. Marys Election for Post 3 City Council and would have been sworn in on January 9, 2023.  Danny was a Charter Member that physically helped build the former Victory Baptist Church, which is now the Three Rivers Church, and attended Christ Church Camden.  Danny was a former employee of White Oak Plantation and Gilman Paper Company.  He was an avid softball and baseball player for many years, and was an avid Georgia Bulldog and Camden Wildcat fan, supporting Camden Wildcat sports for many years.

Survivors include his mother, Anne Riggins of St. Marys, his children, Dana Riggins-Parker (Jeramia) of Palm Coast, FL, and Madison Riggins (Amanda). of St. Marys, a sister, Loretta Riggins Hylton (Lloyd) of Hahira, and was a great Pee-Paw to his grandchildren, Jireh Joshua Gonzalez (Julie), Vance O. Hodge, Cole R. Riggins, Ava Grace Riggins, and his step-grandchildren, Brendan Lauria and Patrick Tyler, Lauria.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Chad Russell Riggins, a brother, Bruce Riggins, a nephew, Joshua Knox.
