Claudia was born on October 9, 1963 in Hertford, NC to the late William and Sallie Ayscue Lane. She was very personable to all she met. She loved meeting new people, and loved her friends and family dearly. Claudia enjoyed watching the Game Show Network and loved spending time with her family. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church now renamed as Three Rivers Baptist Church in St. Marys, GA. In the early 90's she founded the MS Society in Camden County.

Survivors are her husband, David Hurdle of Kingsland, GA. Children, Kristi Mann (Jody) of Freeport, FL. Derrick Hurdle (Taylor) of Brunswick, GA. Siblings, Steve Lane (Sharon) of Hertford, NC, Vernon Lane (Pam) of Powells Point, NC, Mike Lane (Angie) of Smithfield, VA,  Alton Lane (Rakhsheed) of Tyner, VA, Stanley Lane (Cheree) of Newport News, VA, Jerry Lane of Hertford, NC, and Sandra Lane of Edenton, NC. Three Grandchildren, Maggie Mann, Hewitt Hurdle, and Reynolds Hurdle.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Lane.

A visitation will be held at 11:00 am at Three Rivers Baptist Church, St. Marys, on Monday May 15,2023. Funeral service will start at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow in Lawnwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her brothers and brother in laws.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the MS Society in remembrance of Claudia.
