Charles Louis Keene, 95, of Woodbine, GA passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick.

Louis was born to the late Charles Milton and Jessie Wright Keene in Woodbine, GA. He married Helen Little on December 23, 1950, and together they raised four children. He was a lifetime member of Woodbine Methodist Church, a member of the Woodbine Lions Club, and a supporter of the Lions Club Camp for the Blind in Waycross, GA. Louis enjoyed fishing, farming, and worked as an electrical contractor. He was a faithful blood donor with the Red Cross, donating over 10 gallons throughout his lifetime.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother Willis Keene, a granddaughter Blair Burns, and a daughter Alene Daniel.

Louis is survived by daughters Linda Kennedy and Cynthia Herring; son Glen Keene and his wife Dana; grandchildren John and Kevin Thirsk, Derek Burns, Jessica and Alicia Kennedy, Jordan Lewis, Alexis and Tucker Keene; great grandchildren Lucas and Payton Burns and Walker Lewis; sisters Yvonne Draper and Josephine O'Neal and brother Lowell Keene and his wife Linda.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to Woodbine Lions Club for Camp for the Blind.

Visitation will be held on Monday February 9, 2026 from 10:00 to 11:00 and service will begin at 11:00 am all at the Woodbine Methodist Church in Woodbine, GA. Burial will follow in Colesburg Cemetery.
