C. E. Kirkland Jr. passed away August 2, 2023 at UF Shands North, in Jacksonville,  FL. at 6:51 pm.

C.E. was born on September 11, 1940 in Nichols, GA to the late C.E. Kirkland and Erma Davis Kirkland. C.E. was a devoted Christian, husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather,  and friend to so many.  A big part of his life was Three Rivers Baptist Church, which He loved to no end. He did whatever He could for the church and its members.  He was a deacon, treasurer to greeter and even security.  He Loved every minute spent there.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Grace M. Kirkland and their two sons Loren M. and Lance P. Kirkland. Their wives Donna and Heather and Seven Grandchildren,  Brandy Casey, Jacob Kirkland, Kimberley Kirkland, Zackary Walker, James Kirkland, Elijah Openlander, and Nickolas Kirkland.  Three great grandchildren, Erin, Arianna, and Wyatt.

A Celebration of Life will be held this Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 11:00 am at Three Rivers Baptist Church in St. Marys, GA.
