Carol Dana O'Brien, 58, of St. Mary's, Ga. passed away on May 1, 2023 peacefully in her home under hospice care.

Carol was born on June 25, 1964 in Hartford, CT. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Gladys Goldstein.

Carol leaves behind her husband of 37 years, Michael. She is survived by her 2 loving children, Matthew (Alice) O'Brien of Newnan, Ga. and Nicholas O'Brien of Milton, Ga. and her greatest treasure, her 2 grandchildren, Bennett and Jackson O'Brien of Newnan, Ga. Carol also leaves behind her brother Daniel (Kari) and niece Aria of Alpharetta, Ga.

Carol grew up in Bloomfield Ct. and met her husband Michael there while he was in the Navy. Their military travels took them to Virginia, then back to Connecticut, South Carolina and ultimately here to southeast Georgia which they have made their home. Carol retired from the Camden County School System where she was a paraprofessional for 25 years. Her family was everything to her and she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Carol enjoyed the beach, traveling, shopping and college football. Carol will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
