Carol Joan Fortenberry, 68, of Kingsland, GA passed away at her residence on May 31, 2024.

Carol was born in Alma, GA on July 8, 1955 to the late B.L Thigpen and and Betty Taylor Thigpen.

She worked in the cafeteria for over 20 years at Kings Bay Elementary. Carol enjoyed helping others when she could.

Survivors are her brothers, Ronnie Thigpen (Ruth) of Kingsland, GA and Gary Thigpen (Charlotte) of Woodbine, GA. Several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Don Thigpen and Wendell Thigpen.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday June 5, 2024 from 11:00-12:00 pm at Allison Memorial Chapel in St. Marys, GA.
