Camay Quick Howell, 90, of St Marys, Ga passed away at Community Hospice in Fernandina Beach, FL on August 25, 2024.

Camay was born on April 28, 1934 in Girard, GA to the late Cameron Quick and Edna Lois Dixon Quick. She lived most of her life in Camden County. She taught Kindergarten in the Camden County School System and also had daycare in her home for many years. Camay was a protector of those who needed her, especially children. She was a great friend to many and had such a giving heart. She enjoyed shopping, going to the Woodbine Opry, painting art, writing, and was heavily involved with the St. Marys Senior Center. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Red Hat Society, and a honorary member of the Zeta Sigma Psi Military Sorority.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Denise Chandler of Florida, Niece, Karen Whiddon (Doug) of Sardis, GA. Granddaughter Dawn Elese Howell (Mitchell) of Waycross, GA. Great Grandchildren, Lyla Grace Evans and Everly Hart Howell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Howell and a sister, Georgia Quick Grunewald.

A Memorial service will be held at St. Marys Methodist Church on Sunday September 15, 2024. Visitation is at 4:00 and service will begin at 5:00
