Bernice B. Anderson, 88, of St. Marys, GA passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at her residence.

She was born in Douglas, GA to Vellen and Clarine Brown. Bernice and her family were very active at their home church in Douglas, GA. When she turned 18, she married the love of her life, Dan Wesley Anderson on March 11, 1954. Soon after they were married Dan and Bernice moved to St. Marys, GA where they would raise their 2 children.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Anderson and his wife Alison, her daughter, Teresa Kingery both of St. Marys; three granddaughters, Melanie Gunter and her husband Randy, Karen McCabe and her husband Eugene, and Melissa DeWitt and her husband Chris; one grandson Wesley Anderson; six great grandchildren Kaiden, Skylar, Hunter, Alilynn, Alyssa, and Chase; sister Eloise Harrell; two nephews Don and Ronnie; niece Debra Ann.

A funeral service is planned for Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 1:00pm at Allison Memorial Chapel in St. Marys. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00pm on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at the funeral home.
