Aubrey Lee Gerlaugh, age 76, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026 surrounded by his family.

He was born in Martinsville, Virginia to Arthur and Mary Gerlaugh.

Preceded in death by his father, Arthur and mother, Mary.

He is survived by his wife, Frances; his son, Daniel (Jennifer) Gerlaugh and his children, Aric, Ethan, Tanner, and Wesley; his daughter, Amanda (Trey) Evans and her children, Sarah and Simone; and his sister Beth Adkins.

Aubrey was a devoted father and husband who loved being with his family, being outdoors, and helping the community. He loved volunteering with any interests his children had growing up from Boy Scouts and marching band to cross country and horseback riding. Through annual "Horror Show" trips, he maintained a lifelong friendship of over 50+ years with his Sigma Chi Delta Nu brothers at Wake Forest. He was a lover of dogs and anything sweet like cookies, cakes, and pies. He was a true Eagle Scout and was always prepared!
