Arthur Joel Lunsford, 82, of St. Marys, GA passed away at his residence on September 16, 2026

Joel was born on December 1, 1943 in Mooresville, NC. to Elgie Lunsford and Edna Ledford Lunsford. He enjoyed making people laugh, he was gentle, kind, and loved having fun. He was an artist and sold his paintings. He enjoyed working and always willing to give a helping hand and there wasn't much he couldn't do. He was a member of Coastal Camden Art League and attended Christ Church Camden.

Survivors are his wife of 55 years, Katie Lunsford of St. Marys, GA. Children, Tanzy Sierra (Mark) of Denton, N.C., Katie Uhl (Brock) of Lexington, SC., and Samuel Lunsford (Rebecca) of Chatsworth, GA. Sister, Margaret Waynick. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Services will be held at Allison Memorial Chapel on Saturday September 19, 2026 at 10:00 am. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Coastal Camden Art League in his memory.
