Andrew Louis Demetropoulos of Kingsland, Georgia, passed away on October 7, 2023.

Born on September 2, 1942, to Rosemond and Andrew Demetropoulos in Hollywood, California, Andrew graduated school at Brigham Young University, where he met Carolyn Mellor, his love for time and all eternity, on a blind date. They married in 1964.

Andrew and Carolyn lived across the country throughout their lives together. Wherever they made their home, Andrew sought to offer service and a helping hand, both as an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and to people and creatures who found themselves in need as they crossed his path.

As a dedicated father and grandfather, Andrew worked hard to provide a living for his family as an insurance adjuster. He enjoyed playing with the children in his family throughout his life — many memories are of him sharing laughter and smiles with his loved ones.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Misty in 1972 and one granddaughter, Roxanne.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his brothers Dale Demetropoulos and Carl Demetropoulos; his daughters, Diana Josephson, Laura Berlin and Debra Green; his son Richard Demetropoulos; 20 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Allison Memorial Chapel, located at 10141 Colerain Road in St. Marys at 2:00 pm. A visitation will occur from 1-2 p.m. Burial will follow in Lawnwood Cemetery,
