Obituary

Aiko "Judy" Walker, 94, of St. Marys, GA passed away at her home on November 25, 2022, surrounded by her family.

Aiko was born in Taipei, Taiwan to the late Tomezo and Naka Yoshioka on August 25, 1928. In 1957, Aiko met Jack Wades Walker on a military base in Japan. He was in the US Navy and later that year they were married. They remained married for 57 years until his passing in 2013.
Aiko worked various jobs throughout her life utilizing her secretarial, customer service and telephone operations skills at various jobs on military bases where the family was stationed. Aiko's main job of course was always being the loving mother to her 3 children and devoted military wife to her husband. Being a military family, every few years there were new orders to be stationed somewhere else. At every new station, she ensured she made a new comfortable happy home for the family. In one of those ports in San Diego, CA, Aiko studied and took her exam and became a United States citizen on Sept. 6, 1962. It was one of her proudest moments. Aiko lived a healthy lifestyle and she liked to take exercise classes, eat healthy and walk every day. She also loved to cook for people, and she was the best cook ever! She once worked at a Montessori pre-school just to cook for the children- it made her happy. Aiko also loved to crochet, go crabbing off the piers and was an avid bowler with all her friends in the bowling leagues. Aiko was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW in earlier days. But most of all, she loved her family and children.

She is survived by her children, Johnny Walker (Pamella) of Jacksonville, FL, Patsy Osburn (Chris) of St. Marys, GA, and Linda Dillingham (Herman) of Jacksonville, FL. Also, a sister, Michiko Yoshioka of Japan.
