Adelia Verrie Powell Knight, Age 73, of Brunswick Georgia, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 10, 2025,

Adelia was born February 22, 1951, in Savannah, Georgia, the daughter of Lelia Christine Turner Powell. She graduated from Glynn Academy High School in 1969. She was a school bus driver, passenger van driver and finally a dump truck driver. She was definitely "hell on wheels". Adelia loved some good ole' rock n roll music, a lot of Elvis, and anything to do with her Native American heritage. She was a devoted grandmother who lived a full and vibrant life, often taking her grandchildren along on her adventures giving them grand memories.

Remaining to cherish Adelia's memory are her children, Shawna Verrie Wood, and Sean Michael Wood (Denise). Grandchildren, Jada Hargrove, Keila Wood, Nate Morrison Jr, and Alesia Morrison. Sister, Regina Powell Erdman (John).

Preceding Adelia in death are her mother Lelia Christine Powell, Her sister, Barbara Powell Brown, and a brother Bobby Roy Powell Jr.

The family will have a celebration of life at the home of Sean and Denise Wood on February 22 from 5:30-9:30, all are welcome.
